Team practice sessions will resume next week – Monday, January 15 for men and Tuesday, the 16th for women – starting at 7 pm.
Club coach Stuart Clark will lead them. They are open to members interested in playing in Titwood teams in inter-club competitions in the West of Scotland leagues.
The sessions run for two hours over a period of six weeks and, when possible, all five courts will be used.
It should be noted that the front courts are being used on Monday evenings for Winter League matches for the first four weeks so the men’s team practice will be on the back courts for those nights.
Stuart said: “To aid with team development, I would like to ask the members who want to play in the West of Scotland leagues to join Scala sports online.
“Enter the doubles’ competition with someone you would like to play with in the summer leagues: if you can’t find anyone, I will get you a partner.
“The Scala league will aid with team selection and playing with the same partner week in week out will raise the standard at the club. So, it’s important we get as many pairs as possible to play.
“The league will run from the end of January till the 16thMarch.”
Stuart is also starting a new beginners’ class that gets under way on Wednesday, 24th January from 6 – 7 pm.
Saturday morning JUNIOR coaching re-starts on 13th January: the block cost is £25.
Any queries should be addressed to Stuart.
